Corey has a Louisiana music heritage that stretches back more than 85 years – starting with his great grandfather Ferdinand Arceneaux, a creole/lala accordionist.
Today, with his band, The Zydeco Hot Peppers, Corey has performed both internationally and domestically, captivating audiences with their energetic performances. He’s also an award-winning radio air personality simulcasting on multiple Large Market Louisiana radio stations and the worldwide web.
Corey has a deep connection to his African-American Creole heritage and continues to be an ambassador for this vibrant American roots music genre.

Beginner lesson: 12-1 PM
• Understanding dance etiquette and IQ
• Open and closed positions, nonverbal cues communicated through hand placement and body positioning
• Preparing and executing basic moves while remaining in step and rhythm
• Smooth transitioning between openand closed positions
• Basic footwork
Advanced lesson: 1:30-2:30 PM
• Learning and executing two, three and fourcount steps
• Intermediate footwork
• Clockwise and counterclockwise closed position
• Three-countspins, partner dips, solo turns, cutesy moves, and more
Dance Party: 2:30-4 PM
Joshua will stay to give more personalized instruction. Plus he will lead a line dance and possibly demo Whiskey River instruction if time allows.
